Location: Andalucia, Spain and Yorkshire, England

Vision: A world where there is connected and collective energy to heal and regenerate ourselves, our communities and the Earth.
Mission: To use permaculture design, in my work as a facilitator, to empower others’ in their learning, growth and life choices.
Facilitation style: Empowering, active listening, empathy, solutions focused, knowledge sharing, creative, use of diverse range of tools.
My Story: I started learning about permaculture in my early twenties as a way of finding positive solutions to heal our broken Earth and her communities. In 2011 I did my first Permaculture Design Course (PDC) with Patrick Whitefield at Ragmans Farm and then 18 months later at the Earth Activist Training PDC with Starhawk and Charles Williams in California. Both of these experiences, along with completing my Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design in 2015, have hugely demonstrated to me the importance that applying permaculture design can have, in all aspects of our lives. I have spent most of my adult life living and working as an Upland farmer in a very remote part of Northern England. Recently I moved to base my life mainly in the hills of Andalucia, Spain where I am creating my own Permaculture Right Livelihood design.
In addition to my other passions already listed here, I work as a specialist palliative care nurse in both hospice and hospital settings.

Creative Dying is about supporting people – at any time of their life – to plan and design the death they would like. It is aimed at anyone who would like to explore the creative, positive and unique approaches that we can take to considering the end of our lives and how we die. Creative Dying uses permaculture design at its centre and will appeal to the many people throughout the world already using permaculture to increase resilience and healing in other aspects of their life and work.
